Kenya and the Democratic Republic of Congo are aiming to intensify their preparation for the upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) when they lock horns in a friendly match in Madrid. Both coaches will be not only be looking to find their best starting eleven in this encounter but also how prepared they are for the highly anticipated tournament. Here’s the Big Game Focus with some betting tips. Bet on football here.

Kenya’s Harambee Stars will be playing in the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in 15 years and will kick it off with a baptism of fire against Algeria. To be completely prepared, Harambee Stars will play its final warm-up match against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) on Saturday before heading to Egypt. It's been a great few months for Sebastian Migne’s team, who will look to do finishing touches in Madrid against a quality DRC team.

DRC have not been in a good place recently. They’ve been in poor form and have only won only once in their last eight matches. With an overall better squad than Kenya, the two-time AFCON champions are running out of time to find some form ahead of the continental showpiece. Kenya have demonstrated they can match the best in the continent.

Betting preview

Kenya and DRC have two wins apiece in their last four clashes. However, Kenya have won the last two straight. The Kenyans are also in good form having won four of their last five matches. DRC have won just once in their last six matches. Therefore, Kenya Double Chance looks very likely.

Games between these teams have often been cagey encounters.  In fact, only one of the last four has seen at least three goals. Only one of Kenya’s last five matches has seen at least three goals. Five of the Leopards’ six games has seen Under 2.5 Goals. Therefore Under 2.5 Goals in this match looks like a worthwhile bet.

Both teams have scored in just two of the last four meetings between these countries. In Kenya’s last six matches, at least one team has not found the back of the net. Therefore, Both Teams to Score No is odds-on.

Team news

Kenya will be without defender Brian Mandela who was injured in training and is set to miss the tournament.

DRC have no injury concerns.
